Monthly Real Estate Market Update March 2021
March 2021 vs. March 2020, It was another month of solid increases and we are up in all of our communities and of all of our categories.
Last month year-over-year housing prices were up across our communities: 35% in Barrie, 30% in Bradford, 32% in Newmarket, and 19% in the Toronto area.
For March 2021 vs. March 2020, you’ll see the transactions were also up in every city listed below, with Bradford leading the way with a 185% increase in total units sold. Barrie posted a 81% increase in units sold year over year, Newmarket was up 83% and Toronto posted a 75% increase in transactions.
The average sale price was up in March 2021 vs. March 2020: in Barrie, the average sale price was $792,293, in Bradford, the average sale price was $1,084,177, in Newmarket, the average sale price was $1,234,623, and in Toronto, the average sale price was $1,750,518.
