Hello everyone! Thanks for tuning in to Matt’s Stats for December 2025! The stats are in! When reviewing December 2025 against December 2024 you will see transaction are up and down depending on where you live. Orillia posted the highest year over year results with an 81% increase followed by Toronto with a 33.6% increase in detached homes sold. The average sales price is most likely going to be down year-over-year for your community. Midland was the only community to post an increase year-over-year.
Month-over-month, no surprise here as December is usually a slower month with the holidays. Orillia being the only community that posted growth, with a 26% increase in units sold in December versus November. The month-over-month average sales price once again is up or down depending on where you live. Newmarket and Orillia both had posted just over a 13% MoM average sales price increase.
