December 2021 vs. December 2020. The story seems to keep on going in the same direction. The value of properties keeps going up and units sold vs Last year are down, as much as 50% in some markets. All of these communities saw a huge increase in average sale price and declines in units sold vs Last year.
Last month, year-over-year, housing prices were up double digits in all of these communities. 23.5% in Barrie, 37.3% in Bradford, 40.7% in Newmarket, and 14.9% in the Toronto area.
The total units sold were down in all of these communities vs same month last year. Barrie was down 21.7% with 90 units sold, Bradford was down 22.2% with 42 units sold, Newmarket was down 51.2% with 40 units sold and Toronto was down 12.9% with 567 units sold.
