Monthly Real Estate Market Update December 2020
December 2020 vs. December 2019, you’ll see that all categories are up. The Market is one fire, specifically north of Newmarket, in Bradford and Barrie.
Last month year-over-year housing prices were up across our communities: a whopping 32.5% in Barrie, 17.3% in Bradford, almost 13% in Newmarket, and 11.2 % in the Toronto area.
For December 2020 vs. December 2019, you’ll see the transactions were also up in every city listed below, with newmarket leading the way with 83.92% increase in total units sold. Bradford posted a 71.42% increase in units sold year over year, Toronto was up 64.5% and Barrie posted a 49.2% increase in transactions.
The average sale price was up in December 2020 vs December 2019: in Barrie, the average sale price was $662,096, in Bradford, the average sale price was $901,773, in Newmarket, the average sale price was $985,319, and in Toronto, the average sale price was $932,222.
