Last month year-over-year housing prices were up across our communities: approximately 9% in Barrie, 11% in Bradford, 9% in Newmarket, and less than 1% in the Toronto area.
If you’re looking to sell your home, the number of homes sold is a good sign of how the market performed: in Barrie approximately 56% or 98 units were sold, in Bradford 68% or 22 units were sold, in Newmarket approximately 59% or 42 units were sold, and in Toronto approximately 67% or 2,975 units were sold.
The average sale price was up in April 2020 over April 2019: in Barrie the average sale price was about $529,577, in Innisfil the average sale price was bout $568,470, in Bradford the average sale price was about $774060, and in Newmarket the average sale price was about $810,818.
Showing activity in the Simcoe Country continues to increase. From the 2nd week of April, there were only about 19% or 155 showings compared to the 1st week of May, which is up about 20% or 329 showings.
