January 2022 vs. January 2021. The weather is getting colder but the market keeps getting hotter. All of these communities saw a huge increase in average sale price.
Last month, year-over-year, housing prices were up double digits in all of these communities. 34.8% in Barrie, 57.6% in Bradford, 31.5% in Newmarket, and 19.2% in the Toronto area.
The total units sold were down in all of these communities vs same month last year. Barrie was down 4.8% with 99 units sold, Bradford was down 30.3% with 23 units sold, Newmarket was down 47.4% with 31 units sold and Toronto was down 7.6% with 476 units sold.
